The Nepal Academy of Science and Technology has announced a series of Training Workshops targeting Young Health Professionals of Nepal in collaboration with the Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC).
It is inviting eligible health professionals of Nepal to submit their research proposals for the competitive grants with an objective to support early-career researchers of Nepal to carry out both qualitative and quantitative studies. These grants are supposed to foster capacity building of Nepalese youths who are keen about scientific research.
Funding Information
Top 5 research proposals will be awarded a grant amount up to a maximum of NRS 50,000 (Fifty Thousands Rupees) each.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a Nepalese citizen.
- He/she should be below 35 years of age on July 31st 2017.
- He/should have already completed Bachelor͛s education in any of the Health & Allied sciences discipline (Medicine, Dentistry, Public Health, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Pharmacy, and other branches of health sciences).
- Only one proposal is accepted from an individual. However, an applicant can be a co-investigator in another research proposed.
- A proposal can have only one Principal Investigator. There can be more than one co-investigators but the role of each should be clearly mentioned in the proposal.
- The proposal should not have received any other grants. If the researcher has already applied͛ for other grants, this information should be disclosed in the proposal.
- Proposed research should be a new one. Already completed or half-begun studies cannot be proposed again.
- Only a complete proposal sent with required attachments will be considered for evaluation.
- Selected grant winners should complete their research project within a timeframe and the results should be available to the public as early as possible after its completion.
- Dissemination of results can be done either through a presentation or a publication. Any such development should be communicated to our committee.
- Researcher should comply with the ethical principles and guidelines of both their local institutional review board and NHRC ethical committee.
