Applications are now open for the TD Park People Grants Program to help connect people to their local parks and green spaces.
The TD Park People grant program was created to help community groups build vital connections between people and parks to support their green spaces’ ongoing care and protection. Your group should either have an environmental focus or commit to having environmental sustainability or protection as a core element of your event.

- $2,000 grants
Eligibility Criteria
- They are looking for 70 community groups in 21 urban areas across Canada to host 2 in-person and/or virtual events in 2024. The events must support the ongoing care and protection of green spaces.
- Equity-deserving and equity-denied groups will be prioritized in the application process. A minimum of 50% of all microgrants will be provided to those identifying as such, ensuring their involvement in shaping the natural spaces that matter to them.
- Grassroots community groups include, but are not limited to, volunteer-based park groups, local agencies, resident associations, and not-for-profit groups active in their local parks.
- Partnerships of any or all of the above are encouraged to apply.
- Your group must also demonstrate its ability to sustain the group beyond this grant cycle.
- Groups should demonstrate their commitment to caring for the park’s green space.
- Their commitment is to award at least half of the grants to equity-deserving groups.
