The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation is seeking applications for its grant program to support projects in the areas of environment, social, education and culture in Switzerland. The Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation and is politically and religiously independent one.
Goals
- Promote and strengthen social cohesion and equality in Switzerland and the integration and mutual understanding of the different language regions of the country,
- Contribute to conservation and the development of values and the natural goods, moral and cultural fundamentals for the Swiss identity.
Program Theme
The Sophie and Karl Binding Foundation has defined a program theme for each of its four funding areas: Environment, Social, Education, Culture. It expresses the need for special action in these areas:
- In the area of the environment, the program Theme Landscape Conservation:
- Focus Area
- Preservation or restoration of natural and cultural landscapes
- Stop the sprawl
- Measures against landscape destruction

- In the field of social issues the program Theme of childhood and youth integration:
- Focus Area
- the social, cultural and educational integration of native and immigrant children and adolescents
- the integration of young people in the work process
- Focus Area
- In the area of education the program theme of cohesion:
- Focus Area
- Promoting understanding between the different language regions of Switzerland
- Promoting the language skills of young people in the other national languages
- Cultural exchange across the linguistic borders of Switzerland

- In the field of culture the program topic cultural heritage:
- Focus Area
- Securing of important monuments and art monuments (except ruin renovations)
- Securing collections, libraries, artistic and literary estates
