The Office of Citizen Exchanges, Youth Programs Division, of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) has announced an open competition for a cooperative agreement to manage the FY 2018 Organizational Components of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program.
The FLEX program addresses U.S. foreign policy goals by supporting a stable, more peaceful world with less conflict and more common ground. The FLEX program provides scholarships for high school students from Europe and Asia to live and study in the United States for an academic year. In turn, these students expose U.S. citizens to the culture, traditions, and lifestyles of people of their home countries.
Funding Information
Application budgets are limited to $11,841,240 direct costs and must reflect the actual needs of the proposed project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Private institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
