The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) is currently accepting applications in the Performing Arts category as part of its 2018 general grants program.
AFAC’s General Grant for Performing Arts is open to classical, folk, and experimental theatre for all age groups including children and youth; dance performances, including but not restricted to contemporary dance; public intervention performances, street art, live art, interactive and site-specific format, documentary theatre, and festivals. It also supports playwriting, acting, directing, dancing, and choreography workshops.
Grant Information
AFAC has allocated a total of $300,000 in grants.
Eligibility Criteria
- The call is open to Arab individuals living in the Arab region or diaspora and to local, regional and international institutions whose projects are related to contemporary Arab culture.
- AFAC is open to receive project applications from all Arab individuals working in arts and culture. Project applications are accepted irrespective of age, years of experience, country of residence, ethnicity, gender or religion.
- AFAC also accepts proposals from local, regional and international institutions whose projects are related to Arab culture. These include artistic, cultural, social and educational institutions, curators, centers and organizations, governmental and non-governmental, that are engaging with contemporary Arab arts and culture.
