Applicants are invited to apply for the “150 Years Fund” that will be allocated to the activities of the Marilo Fund, managed by the King Baudouin Foundation. The 150 Years Fund is a special initiative of the Celebration Committee of the 150 Years of Friendship between Japan and Belgium.
The Marilo Fund supports Belgian journalist writing, talking and broadcasting about Japanese society to a public of Belgian entrepreneurs and even so to a wider audience.
The 150 Years Fund will be specifically allocated to scholarships for Belgian journalists who will contribute to articles and broadcasts on the preparations of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics and the Games themselves, from 2017 to 2020.
Grant Information
The financial support from the 150 Years Fund starts at € 5000.
Eligibility Criteria
Any journalist working in Belgium who has a passion for Japan.
Selection Criteria
- It has to be a very practical initiative that aimed at helping Belgian entrepreneurs to better understand the Japanese society.
- The project must be linked to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, but not limited to sport only.
- The project must be feasible. It must have been prepared in details: objectives, target groups, means and program must have been fully described.
- The result of that project can inspire Belgian entrepreneurs in the way they develop initiatives with the Belgium-Japan Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
