Nominations are open for Alltech Journalism Award 2018 with an aim to stimulate and value the production of reports in the national press about the development and market of the animal breeding and nutrition sectors and agriculture.
Alltech and Alltech Crop Science, world leaders in the development of natural biotechnology for animal and plant health and nutrition, hold the third edition of the award that will highlight articles about innovative ideas in agribusiness published between March 20, 2017 and March 26 March 2018.
The Alltech Journalism Award 2018 is a journalistic contest promoted in partnership by Alltech and Alltech Crop Science with free subscriptions and exclusively cultural character, without any model of lottery or payment. Participation in this cultural action is not linked to the acquisition or use of any product or service, directly or indirectly.
Categories
Journalistic works published during the period from March 20, 2017 to March 26, 2018 can be registered in vehicles based in Brazil (TV, radio, newspaper, magazine and online), of a periodicity equal to or less than quarterly, that fit the following categories:
- Alltech Award – Animal Breeding and Nutrition: reports that deal with projects, projects, cases of property management and economic development in the animal breeding and nutrition sectors; journalistic publications that deal with issues such as natural solutions; food safety; nutritional innovation; biotechnology; increased productivity of animal protein; increasing the nutritive value of animal protein; health and well-being of pets and breeding; animal production chain; quality of production and sustainability; import and export; return on investment (ROI) and market of products for nutrition and animal husbandry and its impact on protein production in Brazil and worldwide.
- Alltech Crop Science Award – Agriculture: reports on projects, projects, cases of property management and economic development in the agriculture sector; journalistic publications that deal with issues such as natural solutions; solutions focused on productivity and quality in agricultural businesses; food safety; sustainability; biotechnology; micro-organisms and soil improvement; development and improvement of the plant production chain; import and export; return on investment (ROI) cases and market for plant nutrition products and their impact on agricultural production.
- Alltech / Alltech Crop Science Award – Innovative ideas for agribusiness: articles that discuss innovative ideas for agribusiness, such as startups; innovation and technology applied to economic development related to agriculture; livestock; animal production; pet and / or equine businesses; valuation of innovative business models in agribusiness; management of agribusiness companies; human Resources; innovations and solutions in sustainable business.
Award information
One winning work will be selected in each of the three categories, and their authors will be awarded a trip to participate in the ONE: Alltech Symposium (Alltech International Symposium) held in Lexington, Kentucky on May 20 to 22, 2018. The prize is personal and non-transferable, that is, it will be granted exclusively to the representative indicated in the registration form, being forbidden the change of representative.
Eligibility Criteria
- Journalists above the age of 18 who live in Brazil and have their work documented in Brazilian media. In case of material produced by more than one author, only one representative should be indicated in the registration form.
- The winner must have a visa and passport valid for the United States for a period of at least 6 (six) months after the date of travel (approximately May 20, 2018).
- Entries will not be accepted without the presentation of the author’s professional registration number (DRT / MTE), confirming the validity and regularity of the registration, which will be made by the Organizing Committee of the Prize.
- Members of the Judging Committee and the companies organizing the Prize can not participate in the contest.
