UNHCR Ukraine is currently inviting all interested organizations to submit their proposals for the new Project “Strengthening the operational capacity of national NGOs delivering protection and assistance to IDPs, refugees, asylum-seekers and stateless persons in Ukraine” to be implemented during the period of April-December 2018.
The purpose of this Call for Expression of Interest (CEOI) is to solicit interest from existing or perspective partners that wish to participate in the UNHCR operation in Ukraine and contribute complementary resources (human resources, knowledge, fund, in-kind contributions, supplies and/or equipment) to achieving common objectives as agreed in a Project Partnership Agreement (PPA).
Activities
Following activities are envisioned within the Project:
- Conduct an organization capacity assessment for UNHCR Partners using an established methodology;
- Support the NGO in preparing an organizational development plan;
- Provide mentorship to the NGO in implementing its organizational priorities, which may include trainings and support with developing internal procedures;
- Conduct targeted trainings on the following subjects: values and principles in finance and accounting, delegation of authority and separation of duties, budgeting, accounting best practices, ledger preparation bank reconciliation, quarterly financial reporting to UNHCR, audit follow-up.
It is expected that the project would reach an estimated 10 (ten) NGOs working in different cities across Ukraine.
