The Public Affairs Section of the American Consulate General Jerusalem is seeking applications for its Small Grants Program which is designed to assist Palestinian Non-Profit organizations in carrying out programs in several priority areas.
Priorities
The priority areas include:
- Promoting the role of women’s civil society groups as agents for technology and innovation;
- Improving advocacy and effective civic engagement among Palestinian non-governmental organizations in business, technology, and education;
- Fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and other soft skills among high school and university students to bridge the “skills gap” and drive economic and civil society growth within their communities;
- Developing skills in specialized areas of press and media – including environmental reporting, gender issues, and business reporting – using traditional techniques and new technologies;
- Promoting Palestinian-American partnership through mentoring, capacity development, and increased business and operational effectiveness among Palestinian cultural organizations.
Funding Information
Grants will be awarded in amounts up to a maximum of $25,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants for grant funding must live outside of the United States.
- Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate cost-sharing, public-private partnerships, cooperation among multiple partners, or innovative means to implement cost savings (e.g. implementing digital technology, etc.) in their proposals.
- The Embassy will give special consideration to proposals which contain a USG program alumni engagement component.
