Embassy of France in Australia has announced a Call for applications, Labcitoyen 2019 “Women’s rights, gender equality and citizenship”.
Labcitoyen 2019 will address inequality, discrimination and violence against women in terms of their right to equal treatment as citizens. They will debate the issues surrounding the roles of power and domination in the structure of their societies.
60 young citizens from all around the world will meet at the Institut Français de Paris from June 30 to July 7, 2019.
Focus Areas
The program of the week will focus on:
- Women, Involvement in Politics and citizenship
- Gender equality at work
- Access to Education and knowledges
- Sexual harassment and violence
- Religion and women’s rights
Benefits
The French Institute will cover expenses in Paris (accomodation, meals, transport, activities and insurance).
Eligibility Criteria
Participants must be:
- 20 to 26 years old
- Minimum of B1 level in French, (as most of the debates will be held in French)
- Show civic involvement (volunteering, political, humanitarian, civic or union) around women’s rights
