The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) has announced a Good Governance and the Rule of Law in Jordan to enhance the accountability and responsiveness of the Jordanian government at the local level through non-governmental (NGO) and independent media advocacy, monitoring, and civic engagement.
Activities
- supporting advocacy and watchdog NGOs to collaborate with and/or encourage government transparency and anti-corruption efforts,
- supporting journalists and independent and citizen media outlets in conducting professional oversight and integrity in reporting, including fact-based reporting and independent media reporting on corruption and transparency

- Award Floor: $500,000
Eligibility Criteria
The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) welcomes Statements of Interest (SOI) in response to DRL Requests for Statements of Interest (RSOIs) from:
- U.S.-based and foreign-based non-profit organizations/non-government organizations (NGOs);
- Public international organizations;
- Private, public, or state institutions of higher education; and
- For-profit organizations or businesses.
