Applicants are invited to submit applications for Barloworld Mbewu which is an innovative flagship program designed to provide tailored support for start-up social enterprises, established social businesses, organizations and institutions that actively solve local challenges using good business practices.
How Does it Work?
- The Barloworld Mbewu program will individually assess the need of successfully selected organizations.
- It offers financial and non-financial support to organizations that solve social challenges using entrepreneurial ways.
- The program will provide catalytic funding that can unlock further finance for maximum scalability of the organization’s good work.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations run by South African citizens.
- Organizations that are operational for more than one year.
- Organizations active in marginalized and previously disadvantaged communities are preferred.
- Organizations active in the education, automotive value chain, agro-processing, agriculture, green economy or groundbreaking social innovation/technology that addresses local challenges.
