The Edith M Ellis Charitable Trust is accepting applications for its funding program with an aim to make small grants to a broad range of Quaker and other UK-registered charities or Non-Governmental organisations, public bodies and social enterprises, in normal circumstances limited to those with an annual turnover of less than approximately £350,000.
Priority Areas
Grant giving categories include:
- Quaker work and witness
- Peace-building and conflict resolution
- Interfaith and ecumenical understanding
- Climate change mitigation
- Work with forced migrants, including internally displaced people
- Sustainable development
Funding Information
Seed grants of between £2,000 and £10,000
Eligibility Criteria
Grants are given to:
- UK registered charities, NGOs, public bodies and social enterprises, in normal circumstances limited to those with an annual turnover of less than approximately £350,000
- The Trustees favour those applicants not normally able to attract other funding.
Ineligible
They do not support:
- Core funding for organisations
- Individuals
- Infrastructure organisations
- General appeals
- Educational bursaries
- Humanitarian relief appeals
- Medical research
- Healthcare, disability and medical support services
