The French South African Tech Labs (FSAT Labs) is now open for applications which is an incubator and accelerator program for French and South African tech start-ups, based in Century City, Cape Town.
Based on the partnership between Seda (Small Enterprise Development Agency) and Methys, the FSAT Labs is a new service for entrepreneurs who desire to become powerful changemakers. It offers 400 sqm of incubation & acceleration space.
As an international structure, the FSAT Labs’ primary goal is to transform ideas and projects into sustainable businesses, able to grow internationally from their incubation (6 months) to their acceleration (up to 24 months). In line with their inclusion values, the FSAT incubation program is free.
Their team works to give applicants all the skills and material necessary to build their success: professional training (legal, marketing, accounting, oral presentation and many more), investors and sales pitch decks that really make applicants stand out, a robust business plan for applicant’s project, and a digital MVP (Minimum Viable Product) developed in-house.
In essence, FSAT Labs invests from R300 000 to R500 000 in kind in applicant’s startup!

How does it work?
They select and mentor a new class of entrepreneurs. They support each incubated project with an agile team that delivers customized services based on Lean Startup and Design Thinking methodologies. During the 6-month program. The FSAT Labs team works intensively with the incubatees to get their project in the best possible state. The objective is to transform ideas into sustainable businesses that have the ability to scale internationally.
As an incubatee, applicants will have free access to their stimulating office space, benefit from individual weekly Coaching Sessions and participate in Workshops on specific topics, led by corporate experts from Amazon. Jumo and many others.
