The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) is currently inviting applications for its Single Source Award to The Wildlife Society with an aim to “work with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.” Training and technical assistance are used to enhance public awareness and understanding of natural resource conservation and preservation.
This award is authorized by the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956 and the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act, for the development and implementation of programs for the benefit of fish and wildlife species and their habitat (16 U.S.C. 661 and 742 et seq.).

Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Federal lawmandates that all entities applying for Federal financial assistance must have a valid Dun & Bradstreet Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number and have a current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM).
