The Creavtive New Zealand is seeking applications for its Arts Grants to offer short-term project funding for New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations.
Program Purpose
Arts Grants offer short-term project funding to New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations that will enable the following:
- More sustainable careers for individual artists and arts practitioners
- Development of arts practice
- Innovation in New Zealand arts
- Opportunities for diverse communities to access and participate in high-quality arts experiences.
Funding Information
- For grants between $10,000 and $75,000, your project, or the stage of it for which you are seeking funding, must:
- start after 8 May 2020
- be completed within a 12 month period and no later than by 8 August 2021
- For grants up to $10,000, your project, or the stage of it for which you are seeking funding, must:
- start after 22 May 2020
- be completed within a 12 month period and no later than 22 August 2021
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals who are New Zealand (NZ) citizens or permanent residents.
- NZ-based organisations.
- International arts organisations but the application must show direct benefit to NZ arts.
- To apply to Māori arts:
- the applicant must be Tangata Whenua Māori or your proposed project must be managed or directed by Māori
- organisations must be Māori-led. If an organisation is applying for funding on behalf of an individual, that person must also be Māori.
