The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, with the support of the Balkan Democracy Fund and the Norwegian Embassy, is launching a Solidarity Above competition that aims to contribute to community efforts and civic solidarity during the Crown virus crisis in Serbia.
In response to the efforts of a large number of individuals, formal and informal groups, as well as the media, to jointly respond to the emerging situation, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation will support both initiatives that have already been launched and emerging groups in responding to the virus-induced crisis.
Areas of support:
- Activism and health protection
- Social – psychological support
- Information and education
- Coordinating volunteering locally
Funding Information
- Informal groups can receive support up to 50,000 dinars .
- Associations and foundations for project implementation can receive up to 200,000 dinars , while media can receive support up to 150,000 dinars .
- There is no minimum amount that an informal group, association or media can ask for. Co-financing of projects is not required.
- Total available fund is 1.850.000 dinars . The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation reserves the right not to award all funds under this call for proposals and to call for a new call.
The Foundation supports:
- Projects that respond to local needs at the moment have a broad impact on the community and help citizens, primarily the most vulnerable, to deal with the crisis responsibly and in solidarity
- Projects that promote solidarity encourage others to become actively involved in helping the community in which they live
- Projects that can be implemented from May 1 to July 15, 2020, after which applicants are required to submit a complete narrative and financial report
The Foundation doesn’t supports:
- Projects by individuals, political parties and public institutions
- Projects that call for any form of violence and discrimination and promote alcohol, drugs or unhealthy lifestyles
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to citizens’ associations, the media and informal groups of citizens gathered around a common idea to help citizens deal with a crisis.
Project Evaluation:
- After the competition is over, the three-member evaluation committee will select the projects to be funded based on the criteria and field data set.
- The results of the competition will be announced on the website of the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation no later than May 1, 2020.
