St.George Foundation is currently inviting applications for its Grants program with an aim to focus on helping smaller community organizations that work to provide a brighter future for socially, economically or physically disadvantaged children.
Aims
In order to help the little guys the foundation –
- Partner with the smaller community organizations who attract little funding from government and who aren’t big enough to generate significant fundraising income of their own.
- Invest in projects that will improve the lives of Australian children who are physically, socially or economically disadvantaged.
Priority Areas
- Children’s projects in NSW, ACT, QLD, WA
- Early intervention services
- Youth workers
- Recreational and respite programs
- Counseling and therapy
- Educational equipment and assistance
- Medical equipment
Funding Information
Applications for grants of up to $50,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Focus your efforts on Australian children under the age of 18 years
- Be located in NSW, ACT, QLD or WA
- Have annual gross revenue of less than $3,000,000
- Receive less than 40% of applicant’s income from recurrent state; federal or local government funding (unless applicants have an income less than $1million per annum, in which case their Government funding can exceed 40%)
- Be endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (but not another ancillary fund). Deductible Gift Recipients must be listed with the Australian Taxation Office under Item 1 of the Table in Section 30–15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act, 1936.
