Submissions are now open for the Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program that aims to strengthen U.S.-Cabo Verde relations by funding initiatives that promote mutual understanding and collaboration.
Program Goal
- To strengthen engagement between the United States and Cabo Verde by supporting initiatives that promote democratic values, expand economic opportunity, and foster cross-cultural collaboration—contributing to a strong, safe, and prosperous America while advancing mutual understanding and shared global interests.
Objective
- The Public Diplomacy Grants Program supports initiatives that strengthen U.S.-Cabo Verde relations by fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. This program funds projects that align with U.S. foreign policy priorities, enhance people-to-people connections, and encourage capacity-building in key areas such as economic development, governance, and cultural exchange.
Funding Information
- Total available funding $30,000, pending availability of funds
- Award amounts Awards may range from a minimum of $2000 to a maximum of $10,000 (approximately)
Duration
- Length of performance period 12 to 18 months.
Eligibility Criteria
- The following U.S and Cabo Verdean organizations are eligible to apply:
- Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations
- Public and private educational institutions
- Public International Organizations and Governmental institutions
- For-profit, commercial entities or individuals are not eligible to apply and will not be considered for review.
