Deadline: 31-Oct-2025
The Finnish Cultural Foundation has announced its Additional Million-euro Grant for research in the nature resource sector.
Funding of €1 Million is available for research in the nature resource sector that addresses the carbon dynamics and climate coupling of soil processes or that explores the economic links of ecosystem services in agriculture and forestry.
The Additional Million-euro Grant for Science will support research projects that make use of existing data and material through modelling and simulations, with a particular emphasis on studies identifying data-driven solutions or challenges relevant to the sustainable use of natural resources.
The grant aims to encourage innovative scientific work that contributes to understanding the interactions between ecosystems, climate, and economic systems in the context of natural resource management. Applicants can request funding to cover necessary material expenses or fees, as well as for their research work.
The grant is open to individual researchers or working groups consisting of several researchers, but not to universities or research institutes. All scientific work in the project will be compensated as a working grant rather than a salary. In total, the Finnish Cultural Foundation will award the Additional Million-euro Grant to no more than five research projects.
The deadline for applications is 31 October 2025.
