The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is currently inviting applications for its program entitled “Encouraging Appropriate Care Using Behavioral Economics through Electronic Health Records” with an aim to improve physician compliance with recommended treatment guidelines, thereby improving quality of care, health outcomes and reducing health disparities.
This program will support pilot research to test the feasibility of implementing and integrating EHR-based behavioral economics interventions (R21 phase) that, if successful, can transition to an R33 phase for implementation of large pragmatic trials.
