The National Research Fund (NRF) is seeking researchers for its “Competitive Research Grants” to promote multidisciplinary collaborative research among national innovation delivery agencies to catalyze socio-economic growth in Kenya.
National Research Fund is a statutory body established by Science Technology and Innovation Act No. 28 of 2013 mandated to facilitate research for the advancement of science, technology and innovation (ST&I) for national development.
Objectives
The objectives of this call are to:
- Promote collaborative solution-based scientific researches that address priority national societal challenges.
- Generate tangible research outputs and services that will increase the national competitiveness within a global context.
- Create opportunities for generation of new technologies through research, technology transfer and adoption.
- Increase the application of research findings for and innovations for increased employment and wealth creation.
Funding Information
Successful applicant will be funded up to Kenya shillings twenty million (Ksh 20,000,000) for a period not exceeding three years.
