The Study of the U.S. Branch (ECA/A/E/USS), Office of Academic Exchange Programs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), invites proposal submissions from accredited U.S. post-secondary education institutions and U.S. public and private non-profit organizations or consortia of organizations for the design and implementation of three (3) different Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars, each to take place over the course of six weeks beginning in June 2017.
This program is intensive academic programs whose purpose is to provide foreign university faculty and other scholars the opportunity to deepen their understanding of U.S. society, culture, and institutions. The ultimate goal is to strengthen curricula and to improve the quality of teaching about the United States in academic institutions abroad.

- The Study of the U.S. Institute on Religious Pluralism in the United States
Award Information
The estimated total program funding will be $290,000.
Eligibility Criteria
Applications may be submitted by:
- Private institutions of higher education
- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
