The Cultural Heritage Center (ECA/P/C) in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) invites submission of proposals from U.S. public and private nonprofit organizations to assist in the design and implementation of core programs for the FY 2021 Community Heritage Exchange Initiative (CHEI).
- To share stories of cultural heritage and values around previous and current AFCP projects;
- To increase the capacity of communities around AFCP projects to document and share stories of their own heritage;
- To strengthen bilateral cooperation on architectural and objects conservation projects of mutual benefit to the U.S. and other countries; and
- To build on the AFCP program, which supports the preservation of cultural heritage as a demonstration of U.S. respect for other cultures.

- a Community Storytelling Tool Kit, and
- Resilient Intangible Heritage Workshops.

- U.S. public and private non-profit organizations meeting the provisions described in Internal Revenue Code section 26 USC 501(c) (3) may submit applications for this competition. Applicants must have nonprofit status with the IRS at the time of application.
