The U.S. Mission in Zagreb, Croatia is seeking applications for its “Promoting American Arts” Grants Program to share the richness and diversity of American values with Croatians and to support cultural dialog between the American and Croatian public.
Priority Areas
- A project with strong artistic merit and clearly defined goals and outcomes;
- A program component that helps build and enhance relationships between Croatia and the United States and/or introduces a new element of American culture to Croatia;
- Projects that benefit a wide group of people or have a plan to amplify the results among the public through digital or other means;
- An educational component, such as a workshop or master classes by a visiting artist;
- Plan to recognize support from the American Embassy in program materials and advertising;
- Artistic programs that tackle social themes such as diversity, community development, entrepreneurship and freedom of expression will receive extra consideration.
Funding Information
- Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000;
- Grants must be used to fund activities that take place in Croatia;
Eligibility Criteria
Grants are awarded to Croatian non-profit organizations and institutions for artistic and cultural performances, guest speakers/directors/performers, the rights to American works, exhibits, workshops, and art exchanges (participation at the “train the trainer” programs) that further these goals.
