UN Women Multi-Country Office (MCO) Caribbean is seeking to partner with an NGO to support the development of a knowledge hub of critical gender and women’s rights research, including feminist research for Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
- monthly profiles (at both the parish and community levels) of analysed IPV crime and injury data;
- information on how to develop personal safety plans and obtain protection orders and legal aid;
- information on linkages to government and CSO/NGO services for victims/survivors of VAWG; and support the development of a national knowledge hub for critical gender and women’s rights research, including feminist research around IPV and discrimination and exclusion.
- Grenada:
- Facilitate the development of the Knowledge Hub, in consultation with CSOs and key stakeholders, which is easily accessible and can be decentralized for community access and develop and to provide at least 2 training sessions on the Knowledge Hub (Pillar 6, Activity 6.1.2 -USD 15,000 equivalent)
- Jamaica:
- Support the development and launch of a mobile friendly site that will disseminate:
- monthly profiles (at both the parish and community levels) of analysed IPV crime and injury data;
- information on how to develop personal safety plans and obtain protection orders and legal aid;
- information on linkages to government and CSO/NGO services for victims/survivors of VAWG.
- This will require providing training and skills building (at least 2 sessions) of women’s youth and children’s rights advocates in order to increase their capacity to collect, monitor and use prevalence and incidence data for social mobilization and advocacy and tracking of state accountability for the elimination of VAWG. (Pillar 5, Activity 5.2.4 – USD 555,622 equivalent)
- Development of national knowledge hub and clearinghouse, in consultation with CSOs, to provide a foundation for the development of critical gender and women’s rights research, including feminist research around IPV and discrimination and exclusion. This would act as a virtual resource centre. (Pillar 6, Activity 6.3.2 – USD 511,250 equivalent)
- Support the development and launch of a mobile friendly site that will disseminate:
- Event Report
- Participant Register
- Participant Feedback Form (in draft will be piloted and shared)
- PiauresiVideos – group & interactive (including participants & presenters)
- Media Release Form required for programme participants e.g. children, direct beneficiaries (survivors or vulnerable groups)
- Audience engagement data (in the case of media campaigns initiated for Spotlight)
- Technical/functional competencies required;
- Responsible Party must be a Registered Non-Governmental Organization.
- At least 5 years’ experience implementing initiatives on gender equality and women’s rights, including the elimination of violence against women.
- At least 5 years’ experience producing knowledge products and research on violence against women. At least 5 years’ experience working in Grenada and Jamaica. Joint applications between NGOS in the target countries with proven experience working in both countries may also be accepted.
- Other competencies, which while not required, can be an asset for the performance of services
- Previous experience working with the United Nations.
