The Public Affairs Section of the American Consulate General Jerusalem is seeking applications for its Small Grants Program which is designed to assist Palestinian Non-Profit organizations in carrying out programs in several priority areas.
Priority Areas
- Using innovative and technology-based solutions to provide practical education and training for economically disadvantaged youth;
- Grass-roots education initiatives at the secondary and tertiary level to promote teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
- Microenterprise projects which drive economic growth and innovation, particularly among women;
- Targeted training which builds capacity among Palestinian traditional and/or social media;
- Supporting projects that seek to bring people together, regardless of religious, ethnic, or political affiliation, having a shared interest in a given educational subject, activity or sport, job skill/occupation, or art form/cultural pursuit;
- Developing English language teaching and learning among Palestinians;
- Promoting mutual understanding between Palestinians and Americans
Funding Information
Grants will be awarded in amounts up to a maximum of $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Eligible applicants for grant funding must live outside of the United States.
- Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate cost-sharing, public-private partnerships, cooperation among multiple partners, or innovative means to implement cost savings (e.g. implementing digital technology, etc.) in their proposals.
