The Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund is excited to announce its fourth Call for Proposals in Colombia to strengthen the political and socio-economic participation of women and girls affected by forced displacement.
Scope
- Support economic and productive rehabilitation processes of PDET territories, including actions to substitute illicit crops, through comprehensive interventions that generate sustainable, transparent and accessible markets, with the active participation of citizens;
- Improve the perception on the subject of security and trust of citizens at the territorial level in the institutions;
- Manage in a constructive and transformative way the social conflict in the territories through of proactive interventions that prevent instability and violence;
- Strengthen local and territorial institutional capacities to reinforce and allow a constructive dialogue with the communities supporting access to basic services;
- Improve access of the population living in rural territories to formal justice mechanisms and alternative, in order to guarantee greater justice, equity, tranquility and a social and political order democratic in the territories.
Objectives
WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations and projects led by and working alongside forcibly displaced women and girls in Colombia that are high impact, innovative and contribute to the following objectives:
- Promote improved socio-economic recovery and political participation of displaced women and girls in peacebuilding contexts;
- Reinforce the institutional capacity of civil society organizations working with women and girls in forced displacement.
Funding Information
This Call for Proposals makes available financing for local civil society organizations in Colombia through two primary funding streams:
- Funding Stream 1: Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD
- To provide institutional financing to local civil society organizations working with women and girls in forced displacement, aiming to reinforce the institutional capacity of their organizations (aligned with WPHF Impact Area 1).
- Funding Stream 2: Programmatic funding from 100,000 USD to 150,000 USD
- To finance projects that implement programmatic activities contributing to enhanced socio-economic recovery and political participation of displaced women and girls in peacebuilding settings (aligned with WPHF Impact Area 6).
Geographical Focus
For this call, the territorial approach will be the departments Nariño, Cauca, Antioquia,Chocó, Norte Santander and Arauca. Proposals that are not framed in this approach will not be received geographical.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations that apply for Organizational Strengthening Financing (from USD 2,500 to 30,000 USD)
- Be an organization registered in Colombia, non-governmental and non-profit, with at least three years of seniority and / or experience and have not previously received funding from UN Women. That they are directed and led by women or people with diverse gender identities and that reside in the targeted municipalities. It will be positively valued that organizations of female victims. It must be attached with the proposal Certificate of Chamber of Commerce with less than 30 days of dispatch and RUT.
- Must have a project execution capacity of at least 2,500 USD demonstrable through of an executed contract and its certification.
- The budget must be presented in United States dollars (USD). Projects must have a maximum implementation period of 12 months.
- Organizations applying for Programmatic Funding (100,000 USD to 150,000 USD)
- Be an organization registered in Colombia, non-governmental and non-profit, with at least three years of legal existence at the time of signing the agreement with UN Women. It must be attached with the proposal Certificate of Chamber of Commerce with less than 30 days of issuance and RUT 4.
- Project execution capacity of USD 50,000 demonstrable through the executed contract and its certification.
- The budget must be presented in United States dollars (USD). Projects must have a maximum implementation period of 18 months.
