The Corporation for National and Community Service is seeking applications for its 2017 AmeriCorps State and National Grants to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities. AmeriCorps member is an individual who engages in community service through an approved national service position.

- Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Special district governments
- Private institutions of higher education
