The Governance in Justice Programme II announces the Call for Proposals for its Window 2.2 called “Partnered Grants in the Implementation of Child-Friendly, Gender-Responsive and Indigenous People-Relevant Katarungang Pambarangay (KP).”
In collaboration with the DILG-NBOO, selected CSO will enhance the KP Training Manual, pilot-test the Manual in select barangays of Davao and Cebu cities and conduct Trainers Training among DILG’s regional representatives and the NBOO.
Objectives
- Main Objective: To enhance the capacities of the Katarungang Pambarangay (KP) to be more child-friendly, gender responsive and relevant to indigenous peoples.
- Specific Objective: To review and revise the current curriculum/training manual on Katarungang Pambarangay in order to make it more child-friendly, gender-responsive and relevant to indigenous peoples.
Funding Information
GOJUST Grants intends to fund only one CSO or a consortium for this window. Submissions should be for activities of up to 12 months duration with a maximum total request of Php3,000,000.00.
Geographical Priorities
- For the Pilot Testing: A total of twenty-five (25) participants from the five (5) Barangays in 12 Davao City, and the same target in the Cebu City Government.
- For the ToT: 30 participants from the DILG Central Office, Regional Office, and City Field Offices under the Justice Zones.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have expertise in the preparation of training manuals, facilitation of workshops, training or similar activities, knowledge on KP concepts, laws on children and women’s rights and also the rights of indigenous peoples and related skills training.
The organization filing the application must also:
- Be registered under the Philippine law
- Have been in existence for 3 or more years
- Have a bank account in the Philippines and is authorized to receive grant funding directly from UNOPS
- Be able to have a representative who can sign the grant service agreement with UNOPS, should the proposal be selected and is willing to open a separate corporate bank account in US Dollar (US$)or Philippine Peso (PhP) solely for this project
- Have absorptive capacity and can demonstrate the potential to acquire sufficient capacity to manage programs in a sustainable manner
- Show proof of having a robust and functional financial system
- Demonstrate no conflict of interest in its relationships, associations, and activities, that could prevent full impartiality in the implementation of the grant activities, and,
- Will allow UNOPS or GOJUST II to disclose to the Government of the Philippines information about their organization, when needed.
