The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking applications for its Conservation Collaboration Grants Program.
Purpose
The purpose of Conservation Collaboration Grants will be to leverage NRCS and partner resources to:
- Improve soil health in South Dakota.
- Improve water quality in South Dakota.
- Provide habitat for local wildlife species of concern.
- Improve the environmental and economic performance of working agricultural lands in South Dakota.
- Assist communities and groups to build and strengthen local food projects that provide healthy food and economic opportunities.
Funding Information
- Estimated Total Program Funding: $2,500,000
- Award Ceiling: $1,000,000
- Award Floor: $5,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be a federally recognized Indian Tribes, State and local units of government, non-governmental organizations, or institution of higher learning.
- Applicants for renewal or supplementation of existing projects are eligible to compete with applications for new Federal awards.
