Applications are now open for Hapori Māori Fund and Pāsifika Innovation Fund to support the aspirations and empowerment of the Māori and Pāsifika communities.
Purpose
- The purpose of the Hapori Māori Fund is to support Māori Development and Resilience through:
- Empowering Māori business
- Empowering Māori social and creative sectors.
- The purpose of the Pāsifika Innovation Fund is to support areas traditionally under-funded or currently not funded at all. Specifically, through:
- Supporting Pasifika youth
- Supporting Pāsifika creative entities or Pāsifika projects
- Supporting Pasifika business innovation.
Funding Information
- Across the two Funds there is a total of $90,000 to allocate before 30th June.
Eligibility Criteria
- Any group or individual undertake a project or initiative that will benefit Oraka Māori and Pāsifika communities within Ōtepoti/Dunedin.
- Applying to this fund does not prevent organizations from making a regular grant applications to the Dunedin City Council.
Ineligible Criteria
- Government organizations
- Organizations that cannot show work supporting the advancement of Oraka Māori aspirations.
- Organizations that cannot show work supporting the advancement of Pāsifika communities’ aspirations.
