The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through its Global Environment Facility (GEF) is seeking proposals for its Small Grants Program (SGP) from NGOs and CSOs in Moldova.
Small Grants Program of the Global Environment Facility provides grants to NGOs and community organizations (NGOs / CSOs) in countries emerging to enable them to meet the global challenges of environment, while addressing the needs of sustainable development. SGP motto is “Community action with global impact.”
The program is funded by the Global Environment Facility, implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and executed by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Funding Information
- The maximum amount for a grant allocation is 50 000 US dollars, taking into account the capacities Implementation of the grant applicant and partners.
- For strategic projects participating in several communities and several NGOs / OC maximum amount offered is 150 US 000 US dollars.
- An organization cannot receive more than US $ 50 000 in an operational phase, independent of the number of projects.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations eligible to apply directly to the GEF SGP are NGOs (NGOs) and community organizations (OC) legally registered in Moldova, provided they have the least one partner in the area of project implementation, to carry out activities on project.
- Previous experience of applicants direct the work partnership, particularly with local partners in the project implementation and / or local communities in the project area would be an advantage.
- Grant applications may be submitted by NGOs and CBs operating in different areas, provided that their interests correspond to the purposes and principles GEF SGP.
