Deadline: 1-Aug-22
The Red Door (TRD) is accepting applications for its Young Women Leaders Fellowship Program that is designed to nurture young women leaders who are keen on driving positive change in the areas of disability, mental health, gender and sexuality.
The Fellowship mentors ten young women, aged 30 and under, who want to make a difference in the world around them, but are looking for direction and a deeper understanding of the complexities of transformative social action. Bridging this gap between passion and meaningful action is at the core of their fellowship program. Equally important are ideas of empathy, humility, solidarity and self-awareness – and the Fellowship builds on these.
The Young Women Leaders Fellowship Program 2022-23 has been designed by ‘The Red Door’ (TRD) in partnership with CREA to nurture young women in India who are keen on driving positive change in the areas of disability, mental health, gender and sexuality.
Funding Information
The Fellowship is for a period of 6 months, between September 2022 and March 2023. Fellows will be expected to spend 4 hours a week over the weekends on the Fellowship. - TRD’s work with the idea of person centric approaches to Mental Health & Resilience, the Fellowship will involve workshops in peer-support, art therapy and resilience to allow fellows to explore their inner worlds and, hopefully, become more self-aware and considerate human beings in the process.
- Interact with social entrepreneurs who have taken up a cause and started ventures to make real impact and with social workers who’ve worked on the field and at the grass-roots level. The intent is to allow fellows to get a real world perspective on the complexities and challenges of driving social change.
- The fellowship includes a Project Stage where fellows can design and launch their own social intervention and devise ways of taking it forward. This is where they can implement their ideas, drawing on their learnings from the various fellowship sessions.
