UN Women is calling for proposals for Women Civil society organisations’ Capacity Development.
The focus of this Call for proposals will be on enhancing W-CSO leadership and participation in the current context in Myanmar as well as increasing inclusive development and gender-responsive humanitarian planning and response in clear alignment with the 2030 Agenda and the principle of leaving no one behind.
Objectives
The objective of Call for Proposals is to strengthen organisational and technical capacities of the selected W-CSOs:
- needs-based training,
- mentoring, coaching and technical advisory
- putting knowledge into practice.
Impact Areas
The proposal submitted must be aligned with the two impact areas as stated below:
- Impact area 1: Design and deliver training modules (online or in person) for W-CSO
- Impact area 2: Mentoring, coaching, peer learning and technical advisory (online and/or in person)
Funding Information
- Requested funds should be up to 300’000 USD.
- All organisations can apply for a maximum of 16 months (September 2022 to December 2023).
Geographic Focus
While there is no exclusion of geographic areas, successful applications will need to:
- Target W-CSO working in all of Myanmar or in crisis-affected regions of Myanmar
- Demonstrate that they are not duplicating other interventions and investments in Myanmar (though complementarities and synergies are strongly encouraged).
Eligibility Criteria
- International, national, and local women- led, women’s rights, feminist organisations, civil society organizationsi and service providers with a proven track record working as training/capacity development provider are eligible to apply. Joint submissions are allowed and encouraged.
- The lead applicant organization must have legal status. Organizations that are not registered in the country may apply in partnership with a locally registered implementing partner as the lead applicant.
- The following are NOT eligible to apply for a grant:
- Lead-organizations that are not legally registered in the country/territory of implementation.
- Government agencies or institutions.
- UN agencies or UN Country Teams.
