The Oakley Mental Health Research Foundation is currently seeking applications for its grants program. Targeted funding is available for research related to the prevention of suicide.
The Foundation is required by its charter to ensure that projects which it supports are scientifically sound and are of benefit to the community at large. The Foundation prefers to support research related expenses and does not normally fund researchers’ salaries.
The objectives of the Foundation are to support high quality research in New Zealand into studies that address problems with mental health by providing funding for studies into their epidemiology, aetiology, pathology, clinical presentation, intervention and prevention or towards any one or more related objects or purposes which are charitable in accordance with the law of New Zealand, which related objects and purposes are declared to be the objects and purposes of the Trust.
Funding Information
Grants to successful applicants in recent years have typically been for amounts up to $25,000.
