The U.S. Department of Justice, Community Oriented Policing Services is seeking applications for its “Anti-Heroin Task Force Program (AHTF)” to supervise anti-heroin investigative activities.
The goals for this program are to increase efforts to investigate illicit activities related to the distribution of heroin or unlawful distribution of prescription opioids, or unlawful heroin and prescription opioid traffickers through statewide collaboration. The COPS Office reserves the right to limit awards to one per state at the time of award announcement.

Eligibility Criteria
- Only state law enforcement agencies authorized by law or by a state agency to engage in or to supervise anti-heroin and other opioid investigative activities are eligible to apply for funding.
- Additional consideration will be given to agencies participating in anti-heroin and other opioid task forces with multijurisdictional reach and interdisciplinary team structures.
