If you are a young person who believes in democracy and the rule of law, and an open and transparent National Assembly, apply for the school of parliamentarism.
The Organization for Security and Co- operation in Europe (OSCE) Mission to Serbia is continuing to support CSO Crta in pursuing the Democracy Academy Program, aimed at young persons who want to be agents of change in society.
At the School of Parliamentarism, students, activists, journalist and political parties’ youth members will learn about the role, structure and functioning of the National Assembly of Republic of Serbia, as well as about available mechanisms for increased public participation in the work of National Assembly.
The school of parliamentarism will last from December 2022 to April 2023 and includes the following areas:
- What is the role of the National Assembly in the political system of Serbia?
- How can the National Assembly regain power?
- Basic tasks and roles of deputies; Flow of law;
- Structure of the National Assembly (deputy groups, committees, bodies); Examples of good and bad practices in
- The functioning of the National Assembly: Mechanisms of citizen participation (People’s initiative, public hearings, citizens’ petitions and submissions); How to achieve greater transparency of the work of the National Assembly?
- Applications received after the above deadline will not be considered.
- The role of the media in increasing the transparency of the work of the National Assembly;
- Simulation of the work of the National Assembly.
Eligibility Criteria
- You are between 18 and 30
- Years old; You want to study, improve and invest about 20 hours of work per month in this
- Program (for weekend modules and practical work between modules);
- Are you interested in how the work of the National Assembly works and how you can participate in it;
- You believe that citizens can and should contribute to the more responsible work of the National Assembly.
