The Art promotion Centre Finland is seeking applications for Mobility Grants to fund professional artists or working groups formed by them, as well as for experts working in different fields of the arts.
The objective of grants for mobility is to promote the international mobility and networking of artists and art experts living in Finland.
Purpose
Grants for mobility are intended to cover the costs of trips abroad. These trips must be connected to projects that are significant artistically or in terms of a specific artform, and in connection with which the applicant shall either:
- Appear or present his/her art outside of Finland
- Work at an artist residence
- Develop his or her own work
- Promote the working environment within the art form.
Grants for mobility may be used to cover the costs of trips abroad insofar as other funding is not available.
Funding Information
- Grants for mobility are generally awarded for the amounts of 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 or 5000 euros.
- Grants awarded to working groups may be for larger amounts. Grants amounting to less than 1000 euros are generally not awarded.
Eligibility Criteria
The objective of grants for mobility are intended for professional artists or working groups formed by them, as well as for experts in different fields of the arts. Private persons carrying on trade (private traders) may also apply. These grants are intended for private individuals and not for communities.
Additional terms and conditions
- The Arts Promotion Centre Finland does not award multiple state grants for the same purpose.
- Grants awarded by other parties are taken into consideration when awarding grants.
- Recipients of grants must use the grant during the year in which it was awarded or no later than during the following year. New grants shall not be awarded if previously awarded grants for the same purpose have not been used.
- Recipients of grants must submit written clarification of how the grant was used after the end of the grant period.
- Grants are awarded on condition that Parliament allocates the required appropriations in its annual State budget.
- Grant recipients may not transfer personal grant funds or those of a working group to the account of a company, community or person outside the working group.
What to include with your application
- Mandatory: CV of the artist or combined CV for the members of a working group
- A copy of the invitation or confirmation from the foreign collaboration partner or confirmation of acceptance to an artist residence abroad
- In addition, you may also include two more attachments or link to your web page that are relevant to your application. The file names should describe the content. The maximum file size for each attachment is 4Mb.
