The Asia Foundation’s Books for Asia program puts one million new books and resources into the hands of students, educators, and community leaders each year through the generous contributions of publishers and private donors.
Books for Asia is the leading provider of donated information resources in the region. Each year, the program reaches thousands of institutions in 20 Asian countries, connecting students, educators, and local and national leaders with the knowledge they need to improve lives and expand opportunities.
Books for Asia donates books to all ages and at all levels of learning with a belief that by assisting today’s leaders and tomorrow’s, they are providing people with the ability to advocate for themselves and their communities, reform ineffective practices, and contribute to advancement in the region
The Asia Foundation is a nonprofit international development organization committed to improving lives across a dynamic and developing Asia. Headquartered in San Francisco, The Asia Foundation works through a network of offices in 18 Asian countries and in Washington, DC. Working with public and private partners, the Foundation receives funding from a diverse group of bilateral and multilateral development agencies, foundations, corporations, and individuals.
