The European Commission is seeking proposals for its program titled- No Lost Generation in Syria: Education and Resilience for Children and Youth.
This call of proposals implements a new action on education and resilience for children and youth inside Syria in opposition-held areas, in particular those that are less covered by on-going assistance programmes. It aims at implementing inclusive actions, with specific attention to gender, disability and vulnerability elements.
Objectives
The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:
- To enhance attendance in basic education and to improve psycho-social well-being of children most affected by the conflict in opposition-held areas in Syria.
- To improve the skills, resilience and social inclusion of adolescents and young people through education, psycho-social support, community involvement and peace-building dialogue in opposition-held areas in Syria.
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
- Minimum amount: EUR 2,500,000
- Maximum amount: EUR 5,000,000
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must:
- be a legal person and
- be non-profit-making and
- be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, and
- be established in
- a Member State of the European Union or
- a country that is a beneficiary of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance II set up by the Council Regulation (EU) No 231/2014 of 11 March 2014 or;
- a Member State of the European Economic Area or;
- a developing country and territory which are not members of the G-20 group or a partner country or territory covered by the European Neighbourhood Instrument Regulation No 232/2014 .
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
