To celebrate Westpac’s 200th year, Westpac Foundation is seeking applications for its Community Grants program to award 200 Community Grants worth $2 million to local, not-for-profit community organisations helping transform the lives of fellow Australians experiencing disadvantage.
The Westpac Foundation supports not-for-profit organisations taking a fresh approach to addressing social problems, borrowing the best from business to create more opportunity for Australia’s most disadvantaged.
Target Groups
- Indigenous Australians
- Refugees & asylum seekers
- Women at risk
- Youth at risk
- People who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
- People who’ve experienced family or domestic violence
- People living with a disability (including carers)
- People living with a mental health issue (including carers)
Funding Information
Organisations can apply for funding of $10,000. The total grant pool is $2 million.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Community Grant, applicant’s community organisation must:
- Be registered in Australia as a not-for-profit organisation
- Have Deductible Gift Recipient Item 1 Status with the Australian Taxation Office, or be auspiced by such an organisation
- Be supporting people living in Australian communities
- Be addressing social disadvantage via education, employment, or activities to improve the quality of life for people in at least one of foundation’s target groups
- Have annual gross revenue of less than $5 million last financial year
- Be interested in accessing foundation’s More than Money non-financial support program
- Not be seeking funding for any programs or activities on foundation’s exclusion list.
