The Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) – Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Learning Platform is providing small grants to support knowledge production and dissemination in the Arab States and the East Mediterranean region.
- Social determinants of health and heath equity;
- Health systems performance and governance;
- Universal health coverage;
- COVID-19 preparedness, controal, mitigation, and consequences.
Funding Information
- Successful applicants will receive $2,000 on submitting approved research products (an analytic report or a scientific article and a research policy brief).
- Individual researchers with affiliation to academic or research institutions within or outside the Arab and East Mediterranean region, including those currently or recently enroIled in post-graduate programs, are encouraged to apply. Proposals from practitioners involved in the implementation of the SDGs agenda in the region are also welcomed.
- Grants can only be provided to individual researchers, but teams consisting of two or more researchers may apply given that specific researcher is identified and accepted by all team members as the team representative.
Eligible Research
- Any original research with potential contribution to the achievement of health-related SDGs in the region is eligible for consideration. Priority will be given to research that puts special emphasis on informing policy and to pieces of research that cover several countries. Especially encouraged are comparative research and those pieces of research that highlight practical experiences and lessons to be learnt.
