Deadline: 04-Nov-2025
The World Food Programme (WFP) provides support to the Government of Burkina Faso in achieving Zero Hunger by 2030 through activities that strengthen the capacities of vulnerable populations and promote sustainable food systems.
This initiative is based on the creation of productive assets and facilitating population access to essential basic social services. Activities are identified during participatory community planning (PCP). This initiative also supports Burkina Faso’s leadership in resilience and aligns with resilience efforts at the regional level.
This framework emphasizes five key areas: protecting food systems before, during, and after crises; restoring natural resources and supporting climate-resilient production; linking production to consumption; promoting healthy diets; and creating enabling environments for sustainable food systems.
The WFP’s Resilience Program in Burkina Faso has rehabilitated over 50,000 hectares of degraded land and assisted more than 550,000 people in over 300 villages affected by food insecurity and climate-related shocks. Some of these areas are located near conflict zones, making the intervention crucial for stability and livelihood restoration.
This call for proposals aims to select a cooperating partner (NGO) to implement integrated resilience programs in the Bankui Region, Balés Province, and Bagassi Municipality. The selected partner will support small producers through organization and capacity-building initiatives. Eligible non-profit partners must be legally registered and operational in Burkina Faso.
Selection will be based on multiple criteria, including local experience and presence, sector expertise, relevance of the proposal, project management capacity, gender and protection integration, contribution of resources, and cost-effectiveness.
Organizations must demonstrate proven experience in rural development, community capacity strengthening, agro-sylvo-pastoral production, livelihood restoration, gender promotion, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, a minimum contribution of 10% of the global budget will receive the highest score.
The deadline for submission is November 4, 2025.
