The ViiV Healthcare Positive Action is currently inviting non government and community based organisations for its Community Partnerships Grants in Australia with an aim to improve the lives of PLWH or people at risk of HIV.
ViiV Healthcare Australia through its Positive Action Grants looks to fund community-based projects that reach those most affected by or at risk of HIV, particularly in marginalised, hard to reach or vulnerable populations.
Priority Areas
- Stigma and Discrimination
- Develop and demonstrate innovative and effective methods to address stigma and discrimination, producing tangible outcomes and benefits for PLHIV
- Testing and /or linkage to treatment and care
- Seek to identify and address barriers that prevent people from testing particularly in hard to reach and minority populations
- Support diagnosed PLHIV to engage and remain in treatment and care
- Quality of life
- Seek to identify and address the social, environmental and individual obstacles that have an impact on quality of life for PLHIV
- Directly Improve the quality of life of aging PLHIV
Funding Information
A total of AU$180,000 will be awarded to organisations for the 2017 grants cycle.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet the following Eligibility Criteria to apply for grants:
- Be a charity, non-government or community based organisation with a focus (>75%) on HIV and PLHIV
- Meets all the legal requirements expected of a non-government or community based organisation in Australia
- Actively engages, collaborates and advocates with people living with HIV
