The U.S. Embassy is currently inviting applicants for its 2018 ESF-funded Democracy Outreach/Alumni Program to provide support for U.S. Government (USG) alumni activities.
The Program allows post to provide individual grants to Georgian USG alumni, for activities that support democratic advancement and economic reform.
Grant proposals must support projects that address a tangible need in a community and have measurable outcomes. Applicants may develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including the public and/or private sector as well as local organizations, where applicable.
Funding Information
- The maximum amount of funds that may be requested is $24,000 (pending the availability of funds).
- Maximum project period is one year.
Project Examples
Examples of PAS Alumni Small Grants Program projects include, but are not limited to:
- Initiate a public or community service program;
- Support alumni association events;
- Organize training programs or conferences for professional colleagues and/or other alumni;
- Continue funding existing alumni centers;
- Organize networking events;
- Develop and publish textbooks, brochures, pamphlets, or related reference or educational materials on topics that further USG assistance goals;
- Conduct projects that support democratic and economic reform initiatives, including in the area of entrepreneurship.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility is limited to the alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs, who are citizens or residents of Georgia.
