The European Union has launched a new Twinning project titled “MK 24 IPA FA 01 25 TWL Strengthening the Capacity of Financial Inspection and Anti-Fraud Coordination Services (AFCOS)” to support better governance and oversight in North Macedonia.
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial inspections related to the spending of both national and EU funds. Specifically, the project will work to strengthen institutional capacity to ensure transparent and accountable use of public resources, while reinforcing the fight against fraud and misuse of funds.
The project will be implemented across the Republic of North Macedonia with a maximum duration of 8+3 months. The total budget available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 250,000.
Applications are restricted to Public Administrations and Mandated Bodies of European Union Member States, as outlined in the EU Twinning Manual. Eligible entities may apply through their respective EU Member States’ National Contact Points.
This initiative reflects the EU’s continued commitment to strengthening governance structures, safeguarding financial integrity, and building resilient institutions in North Macedonia.
