Deadline: 26-Sep-2025
The Kenya–UK PACT programme has launched a new Call for Proposals inviting organisations to pilot high-impact, inclusive nature-based solutions across Kenya.
This initiative supports Kenya’s just transition agenda by strengthening commercial forestry and agroforestry practices that promote carbon sequestration, land restoration, and green economic development.
Organisations with strong technical and implementation capacity are encouraged to apply—especially those that can lead sustainable forestry initiatives spanning public, private, and communal lands. Successful proposals will also empower smallholder farmers through scalable agroforestry strategies, giving rise to renewed landscapes, expanded value chains, improved livelihoods, and climate resilience.
Proposals should be technically sound, innovative, and deeply aligned with Kenya’s climate goals, having been shaped in consultation with government counterparts. Projects must integrate gender equality, disability inclusion, and broader social inclusion throughout their design and execution. The programme values applications that demonstrate clear pathways to impact and long-term sustainability.
Each project will run for 12 months starting January 2026, with funding available between £400,000 and £650,000 per year, subject to annual ceilings.
This Call for Proposals provides a compelling chance for civil society, think tanks, professional associations, NGOs, and academic institutions to contribute to Kenya’s climate-action journey, weaving together economic growth, environmental stewardship, and social justice.
