Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently inviting applications to provide Technical Assistance to National Health Information Systems and Health Work force Development of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The program aims to provide technical support to Ethiopia’s national HIV/AIDS/STI/TB monitoring systems, build surveillance for public health emergency response, and enhance the health workforce capacity.
The opportunity will focus on strengthening electronic systems in PEPFAR supported health facilities at medical record unit, ART clinics to track HIV patient level information records, human resource information systems, and reporting systems at all levels of the health system under the Federal Ministry of Health, Regional Health Bureaus, Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia, the Federal Police and National Defense Force. It will also build the capacity of local universities and colleges to train and deploy appropriate cadres to support the health information systems (HIS) of the country and build the capacity to provide leadership in HIS.
