Deadline: 30-Nov-2025
The Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme has launched its 2nd Call for Proposals, welcoming applications for small-scale and regular-scale projects without infrastructure components.
Focus areas: Priority 1: A resilient and green border region. Objective 1.1: Climate change adaptation, risk prevention (SO 2.4). Objective 1.2: Biodiversity and reduced pollution (SO 2.7). Priority 2: A healthy and attractive border region. Objective 2.1: Equal access to health care (SO 4.5). Objective 2.2: Culture and tourism (SO 4.6). Priority 3: A cooperating border region. Objective 3.1: Harmonious neighbourly relations through cooperation (ISO1 b). The present Call for Proposals is open for all Priorities and Objectives of the Programme, except for objective 3.2 A safer and more secure Europe (ISO2).
Small-scale projects (SSP) must have a budget between 70,000 and less than 300,000 EUR, while regular-scale projects (RSP) range from 300,000 to 1.5 million EUR. Both SSP and RSP without infrastructure must be planned for a period not exceeding 12 months for SSP and 24 months for RSP. Eligible applicants must be non-profit legal persons, including public authorities, bodies governed by public law, or non-profit organisations governed by private law, registered and operating in the eligible regions or able to demonstrate authority for actions in the programme area. Each project must have at least one applicant from a Member State and one from Ukraine, with a maximum of six partners receiving EU funds.
Applications require joint project development and implementation under the lead partner principle. All application forms must be filled electronically in English via the INTERREG+ system, and necessary supporting documents—including declarations, legal registrations, and approved annual accounts—must be prepared and uploaded. Successful proposals are expected to deliver tangible results measured against specific programme-level indicators relevant to their objectives. The call emphasizes compliance with EU regulations, respect for horizontal principles, and the demonstration of sound partnership and sustainability within proposals.
The application deadline for both SSP and RSP without infrastructure budget lines is 30 November 2025, 15:00 CET.
